Thur 5 BREABACH (Scotland) at The Old Museum presented by Woodford Folk Festival, Breabach began 2017 in exciting fashion as receivers of the Scots Trad Music Awards `Folk Band of the Year' for the second time and `Album of the Year' for their fifth studio album `Astar'. A special Celtic Connections show to celebrate the album was held in February in Glasgow's City Halls and was received with a sell out crowd and 5 star review in the Scotsman. Info: Performance 7.30pm, Doors to Theatre 7.00pm, Foyer/Box office 7.00pm. Ticket prices $25-$20 +$3 box office all online sales incur a 2% cc fee. Fri 13 STORYTELLING UNPLUGGED, - means stories (personal, family, folktales, legends etc) shared orally (without a mike) to entertain your listeners. Venue: Grange Library Meeting Room on the 2nd Friday of each month starting at 7.30 pm till 9pm (except April). Our first get-together for 2018 was 9 Feb. Host opens with a tale. An afternoon of early Australian colonial dance with music by members of the Moreton Bay Symphony Orchestra and friends. Experience social country dances from the earliest years of settlement.
